Today's Secrecy News by Steven Aftergood points to an analysis titled Conventional Arms Transfers to
Developing Nations, 1996-2003
, of which nations supply what quantities of arms to whom. Here are two of the graphs (click to see larger images):







Over the last eight years, arms supply has been a $30 billion per year business, on average, mostly to the developing world. It appears that 40% of this business is out of the United States. That's a lot of dead people, at least potentially.
