A victory in the War to Keep Our Liberties A federal appeals court ruled that fear of terrorists is not a good enough reason for government to trample on rights guaranteed by the Constitution [via Dave Farber's IP list]: Fears of a terrorist attack are not sufficient reason for authorities to search people at a protest, a federal appeals court has ruled, saying Sept. 11 "cannot be the day liberty perished."
