How to land a commercial jetliner after being hit by a ground-to-air missile Bob's Junkmail points to a rather gripping article, which he introduces thusly: A little over a year ago I remember reading about a DHL plane that was hit by a missile shortly after takeoff at Baghdad. They returned to land. It didn't seem like too big a deal to me at the time. The other day I ran across the details of that flight, and I was very impressed. Those guys are good AND lucky.
